The Nike Hyperadapt Carry was built around one simple idea: a golf bag that adapts to the golfer, not the other way around.
Its lightweight, modular design lets golfers customize their setup for changing weather, different stages of the season, and the way they play.
01 BACKGROUND
Making Nike Golf feel like Nike
Nike had earned a reputation for creating innovative products, but that perception hadn't fully carried over to its golf bags.
Rather than making another incremental update, the opportunity was to create a product that reflected what the Nike brand is known for.
02 ATHLETE INSIGHTS
Start with the athlete. Design around the way they play.
Through conversations with competitive golfers, we learned their needs change throughout the season. During the off-season, they carry extra clubs and gear while testing equipment.
As competition approaches, their setup becomes more dialed in. Changing weather, especially rain, also affects what they need to carry.

The ideal golf bag isn't the one with the most storage. It's the one that carries exactly what the golfer needs.
The challenge was designing a bag that could adapt to changing conditions while staying as light as possible.
04 OUR APPROACH
Rethink the architecture, not just the bag.
Instead of improving a traditional golf bag, we looked beyond the category for inspiration. Outdoor tent technology showed how a simple frame could create a lightweight structure that was both strong and adaptable.

Ideas quickly moved from sketches to paper models and full-size mockups we could build, carry, and test.
Through rounds of development and wear testing, we refined the design and construction until it was ready for production.

The Hyperadapt combines a lightweight external frame with removable storage, letting golfers configure the bag around their gear, the weather, and the way they’re playing that day.
Add storage when you need it, take it away when you don’t, all without changing bags.
